Utilizing the
latest networking technologies commonly known as WiFI, iDockUSA
is able to broadcast the Internet throughout the marina.
The
signal is
available only in the iDockUSA sponsored marina complex. It
is not available at locations outside of the marina or at
sea.
Each computer
will need a wireless network
adapter. This adapter is a radio that adapts the
wireless Internet broadcast into a usable format for your
computer to use.
The adapter must
be WiFi certified (802.11b or 802.11g) and is available at
many computer stores. Of course, you can also purchase
one from iDockUSA.
Download speeds
are in excess of 200 kilobytes per second. Compared to dialup
connections which are typically 56 kilobytes per second, iDockUSA's
service is fast.
You will not
need a phone line, mobile phone, modems or any other cables
or connections to use iDockUSA's service.
