How Does iDockUSA's Wireless Internet Access Work?

Utilizing the latest networking technologies commonly known as WiFI, iDockUSA is able to broadcast the Internet throughout the marina.  The signal is available only in the iDockUSA sponsored marina complex. It is not available at locations outside of the marina or at sea.

Each computer will need a wireless network adapter.  This adapter is a radio that adapts the wireless Internet broadcast into a usable format for your computer to use.

The adapter must be WiFi certified (802.11b or 802.11g) and is available at many computer stores.  Of course, you can also purchase one from iDockUSA.

Download speeds are in excess of 200 kilobytes per second. Compared to dialup connections which are typically 56 kilobytes per second, iDockUSA's service is fast.

You will not need a phone line, mobile phone, modems or any other cables or connections to use iDockUSA's service.

  How Do You Get Started?

Each iDockUSA customer needs a wireless network adapter.  It may be built into your computer, you can provide your own adapter or you can purchase one from iDockUSA.

Once the adapter is installed, you will need to subscribe by purchasing time on the iDockUSA network..

This can be accomplished automatically at marinas where an iDockUSA log in page is presented to you when you connect to our service.  Click here to learn more.

If you do not receive a log in page, you can call our support line at 866-464-3625 to establish service.
